2024 Release Notes: Release N

Released July 16, 2024

Root Path Destination Mapping in Platform Settings – Administrators can now customize their organization’s Root Path Destination based on the Share Domain URLs within PathFactory. This feature allows users with multiple Share Domain URLs (e.g., for different languages) to create separate Root Path Destinations that closely match each Share Domain. For step-by-step instructions on modifying Root Paths, see Overview of User Roles in PathFactory

Support for Semicolon Separated Value Files for Bulk Uploads and Updates – You can now upload content assets in bulk using files with semicolon-separated values (SSV), accommodating regional settings. This addition enhances the flexibility of bulk uploads, which previously only supported comma-separated values (CSV). For instructions on uploading content assets in bulk, read Tutorial: How to Manage Assets, Tagging and Taxonomy in Your PathFactory Content Library.

Download a CSV File for Collections – You can now download a CSV file for all assets within a single Collection, including their attributes and tags, to streamline the process of updating and managing Collections content. For instructions on downloading a CSV file for a Collection, see How to Create and Use Collections For Templated Experiences & Content Playlists

Single Source for Fallback Images in Website Tools – If you are a new PathFactory user (starting in 2024 or later), fallback images for Website Tools are now set by administrators in Organization Settings. This update simplifies the configuration process and reduces the required steps. PathFactory legacy users can continue to set up fallback images as before.  Need a refresher on using Website Tools? Have a look at the article, Configure Sources and Collections for Website Tools.

Segment Rules for Personalized Content Lists – Now you can map Segment Rules to display personalized content to audiences within the Content List section on a Templated Experience Landing Page. By mapping market segments to specific Collections and content assets, each audience segment will see content tailored to their interests, ensuring a personalized and relevant experience.  For instructions on how to configure a Landing Page, refer to the article, How to Build Content Page Templates and Landing Page Templates

Drag-and-drop Functionality for Featured Asset Carousels – You can now select and reorder the assets you want to appear in a Featured Asset carousel in a Landing Page by dragging and dropping them. To read more about how to configure a Landing Page, read the article, How to Build Content Page Templates and Landing Page Templates.

New Hero Section Type for Templated Experiences – We have added a new layout for Hero sections: Multi Column. Using this section type, you can add two or three columns to a Hero section, choose text, image, video, or form components for each column, and customize the ratio of each column size. See step-by-step instructions on adding sections to Landing Pages in Available Section Types for Landing Pages, a section in the article, How to Build Content Page Templates and Landing Page Templates.
