Product Release Notes Version 48 – January 8, 2019

For our first product release of 2019, we’re happy to announce that every update was sourced from the Ideas Portal! Thanks to everyone who has submitted ideas so far – keep them coming!

Our latest product release successfully went live on January 8th, 2019.

No Index Meta Tag on Content Tracks

You can now prevent selected content tracks from being discoverable by most search engines by applying a “No Index” Meta Tag to a Content Track. This prevents most search engine web crawlers from indexing the Content Track. You can always go back and add this tag, however, this does not remove previously indexed content. If you want to ensure your content can’t be searched, select the tag when you’re creating the track!

*To Change meta tag option
Go to Track Settings > Meta Tag and select Index or No Index to set discoverability rules for search engines.

Change default behaviour

If you want the “No Index” meta tag to be added to all tracks as a default setting, you can change the default behaviour from “Index” to “No Index” for all new content tracks. Navigate to the Organization Settings tab and check “Set no-index rule as the default for all new tracks and pages”.

Additional User Analytics

We’ve added two new metrics on the User Management page to give you more insight into your team’s activities! We’ve also added the ability to download the User Management list in a .csv format. The New metrics are:

  • Total Tracks Created – the total number of content tracks created by a user (does not include deleted tracks)
  • Total Content Upload – the total number of content assets uploaded by a user (does not include deleted content)

That's it for this week. As always, please email support@pathfactory.com for assistance, and send any product feedback to our Ideas Portal. We look forward to hearing from you!
