External ID on Content Assets

External IDs are non-unique identifiers that can be added to Content Assets. You can use this free text field to tag assets according to your external systems, or even to group assets by using the same ID.

  1. You may add an external ID to content assets when you first add them to the Content Library.imageExternal ID field
  2. If you want to add or edit the external ID after an asset has been added to the Content Library, select the content asset in the Content Library. This action opens the Content Asset Configuration window on the right.
    Note
You can bulk edit the external ID. To select multiple files hold down the Command key (Mac) or the Control key (Windows) while selecting files.
