2022 Release Notes: Release H

Welcome to Release H… new look…new Nook. We haven’t made a big splash about our rebranding, and you may not have even noticed that we have a new look and brand voice.  Well… we have refreshed our brand and started using it throughout our marketing in the last couple of months. Now we have extended the brand refresh to our platform. PathFactory and your instance will look different when you log in.  We have already gotten feedback about the changes and have a small change coming to make it even better- check out the details below, plus we haven’t changed the user experience much so you should still be able to do the things you already do!

We’re also excited to tell you that we have updated our knowledge base, affectionately known as The Nook.  Here you can continue to find new resources, including how to accelerate some of the tactics for our five use cases: Content Strategy, ABM, Nurture, Web Conversions and Enablement.  Be sure to bookmark the url when you click through, as we update and add to our content often.

As always, our Product and R&D teams are hard at work and we hope you find these new features helpful.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your Account Executive, CSM or Solutions Engineer.  We’re more than happy to walk you through and help implement them.

Color changes in the user interface

You will notice when you open your PathFactory instance that we have changed the colors in the user interface.  Some of our customers mentioned it was a bit too bright for their liking so we have made some changes to ensure you’re all happy!  In the next release, July 19th,  we will adjust the header color to be a darker blue, with the core blue color being used for primary buttons.

See the screen capture below for a sneak peek of the upcoming color updates.  We hope you like it!

NEW:

Goal tracking in PathFactory

PathFactory can be used across a number of different use cases in your marketing strategy – Nurturing, Enablement, Website Conversion, ABM & Content Strategy.  We wanted to make it easy for you to track your progress against each of these use case buckets directly in PathFactory so we have created a goal tracker.  Your CSM will be walking you through this new product feature over the coming weeks – so you won’t see it in your instance in this product release.  However, we wanted to let you know it was coming!  We are excited to continue to work with you to drive your strategy across each use case and let PathFactory work as hard as it can for your business.

Goal Tracking

Analytics permission management

  1. From the top-navigation menu, select Signed in as [your name]  >  User Management.
  2. From the secondary navigation menu, select the User Roles tab.

  1. Next, click on Analytics Permissions.

IMPROVED:

Strict mode modifications

This improvement provides a strict mode option that aligns PathFactory tracking rules with external consent managers to enable or disable engagement tracking, PII collection, IP address tracking, and IP to account lookup.  This improvement also:

  • disables any authoring features that allow users to override the strict mode (i.e. track and form);
  • enforces strict mode to website tools experience; and
  • tracks engagement and PII based on the consent level configuration.
Cookie Consent tab

VEX

IMPROVED:

Hide session blocks without content

Currently, when you have configured a session block and it has no content under it, you receive the following message:

Your search does not match filter/search criteria.

If you wanted to hide it, you had to manually delete the block and re-add when content became available under the particular block.  With this improvement, the block is displayed only when contents get populated under it if enabled.

To enable/disable this improvement, follow these steps:

  1. From the top-navigation menu, select Virtual Events.
  2. Next, select a virtual event from the list provided.
Virtual Event selected
  1. From the secondary menu, select Landing Pages  >  Modify Page.
Landing Pages tab
  1. Select the session block then click on the pencil icon to edit.
Pencil icon
  1. Toggle on/off the Hide the block if no sessions are present to enable/disable.
