Connecting to PFfRI within Salesforce

These instructions are for administrators to install PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence package within Salesforce and add it to your page layout. You will be setting up a tab for PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence (PFfRI) within their Salesforce application, and then connecting PFfRI to their PathFactory account for their users to access. 

The PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence package allows your sales team to see first party buying signals directly in Salesforce.  They can see true engagement with content to prioritize outreach and send personalized, bespoke experiences to their buyers to drive the velocity of their deal and ultimately close more revenue.  

Installing PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence into SFDC 

  1. Click here to access the package: https://pathfactory.lightning.force.com/packagingSetupUI/ipLanding.app?apvId=04t4x000000mYPL
  2. Choose the group you would like to install for: 
    1. Install for Admins (profile system = administrator) 
    2. Install for everyone 
    3. Install for certain profiles – based on user permissions
  3. Click Install.
  4. When the install is complete, you receive a confirmation email.

  5. To ensure the install was successful, navigate to setup, and in the quick find box type Install packages.
  6. Search for PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence to validate that it’s there.

Add the tab and link the account – method 1(Add Pathfactory for Revenue Intelligence to Page layout)

  1. Open Salesforce.
  2. Edit page layout under Account Object by clicking on gear icon on top right.

  3. Select Edit page.
  4. Click on the panel where you would like to add PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence in your page layout. Select Add tab.

  5. In the popup that appears, complete this information:
  • Tab Label is Custom.
  • Custom Label is your name for PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence, i.e. PFfRI.

  1. Click Done. You see the new tab in the tab bar.
  2. Click on the newly created tab, and then click on the link labeled Add components here.
  3. A panel on the left appears. In the search bar, type Visualforce.

  4. Select Visualforce from the list. 
  5. On the right panel, select the PathFactory Account page. Adjust height to what you want to display, up to 1000 pixels.
  6. Click Save (top right).

Add the tab and link the account – method 2

  1. Open Salesforce.
  2. Select setup, then select Object manager.

  3. In the list that appears, select your account object, i.e. PathFactory Account.
  4. Next, you set the display for the new menu item by adding a page layout to the account object. Select Page Layouts.

  5. Scroll down to Visualforce pages.

  6. Find the tab you created for PFfRI in the list. To change its position in the list, click and drag.
  7. Click Save

Add the tab to the main application menu bar – method 1

  1. Open Salesforce and click the pencil icon on the top right of the screen. 
  2. In the pop up that appears, click Add More Items.

  3. In the search bar that appears, type the name of your tab, i.e. PathFactory for Revenue Intelligence. 
  4. Click the plus sign (+) beside that item.
  5. The App Navigation Items list updates.
  6. Click Save. Now you see your new tab in the application menu bar.

Add the tab to the main application menu bar – method 2

  1. Open Salesforce. 
  2. Click Setup.
  3. Click App Manager.

  4. Find your new tab in the list. Click to select it.

  5. On the pop up menu that appears, click Save. Now you see your new tab in the application menu bar.
